Confluence: lost connection to jira user server

I used JIRA as User Server for Confluence. By mistake, I deleted the user server's authentification for confluence (127.0.0.1). I do not know the password used by the initial configuration and do not have any access to the confluence application because of the mistake.

How can I restore/rebuild the connection to the user server?

You can simply change it on the Jira-side:

Login into jira, click COG -> User Management -> On the left hand side, click "JIRA user server". You will see a list of JIRA user directories here. Edit the corresponding one, set a new password.

Next you need to change it on Confluence. As you have deleted the user authentication part, you might not be able to login here. In that case follow this article:

Once you have access to confluence again, enter the same password as you set in Jira. You should now be able to authenticate to confluence again.
