Does exporting a project space (XML) remove it from Confluence?

I wanted to a "test" export of a space, as I am looking to move it to another Confluence server. I want to know before exporting, if the Confluence space will still be available after I export it's content to XML. I am not going to delete the space yet. Thanks!

Welcome to the Community!!

You'll have all the data intact. The contents won't be deleted

Export option is present to have the data as backup.
