Prevent project-level Bitbucket Admins from changing the project key

I have a scenario where some users in Bitbucket have Admin access for their respective project (they aren't "Bitbucket Admins", they just have the admin access for that project provided via the Project permissions). I want to be able to prevent these users from editing their Project Key, while retaining their other admin privileges.

Is there a way to hide / disable the project key editing for these users? I have tried through scriptrunner but could not find a way to hide this specific UI element.

Maybe hiding the project key field is not the only way. I believe you can achieve this with an event listener that would cancel the edit action. We are working on an answer for this and will get back to you soon

We have released a new script that you can use here :

https://library.adaptavist.com/entity/prevent-project-administrators-from-changing-the-project-key.

Using this script, the 'Project Key' field will not be hidden, but when a project admin tries to change it, their request will be cancelled with an error message.
