I have duplicate column in my page property. How do I combine these columns into one?

I have added page properties to a number of Product Requirements index pages that are link to product requirements. I have edited these templates to ensure we have the correct details included. Since these updates we can see duplicate columns in the page property table. How do I combine the table columns with the same headings as confluence does not currently realise these are the same?

Unfortunately I cannot attach a screen shot.

There must be a small difference if you are getting "duplicate columns" make sure that the caseis exactly the same and that there is not front or trailing spaces.
