Unfold desired language text only

Question

Hi,

I should implement instructions on confluence page in several languages. Topics are assigned on specific pages. In order to view the desidered language only (not all languages together), I would like to click a flag icon and let only unfold the chosen text.

A default (language) text should be visible. When I click another language icon, only that language text should be unfolded.

Would this be possible? How could I reach that?

thanks for all answer and all support. I think I have at current time some alternatives. I would wait for my admin to evaluate which solution may, could or should in the best case be implemented.

I tend to agree - expand sections are built in, simple and short, but I don't think they're good for large pages.  They do not seem right for "same page in #n different languages".

I think your idea of using tabs is far better, one tab per language option works for me (I've seen it in a couple of places and the seamless switch from <default> to English when I need it is really smooth.  No hours of scrolling to find the bit I can read without help).

But, you'll need an app to provide the tabs functionality, and if you're willing to invest in an app for tabs, it might be worth going the whole hog and looking for an app that does pages by language.

In the past, most of the ones I've used have just provided ways to implement different pages for each language, but a couple now actually use machine translations of the content to provide a page to get started with (they translate the content of the original, but let your people edit them, cleaning up all the poor or clunky translations the machines make)

I don't need to repeat what @Mattia _Elevatic_ said, Translations for Confluence is an excellent solution for your case.  There are others, but I'd start with that and Scroll translations, they're very different in the handling, but I can't say which might work better for you.
