I have a folder of HTML files, and the total size is ~1GB. I would like to upload these files to internal Wiki page and display them as web pages.

You can do the following to embed web content into a confluence page.
To embed web content on a page:
Note: The HTML macro is not enabled in all sites. Talk to your Confluence Admin about whether you can use this macro.
You might also consider using an app like the all in one file importer to just bring the html pages in as confluence pages.
