Epics links attached and displayed under the Sub task ?

Creating the Stories and sub task by using the Import Issues from CSV ->Bulk Creating and found that in subtask, Epic is attached to subtask and display in the epic link field.  How to remove the Epic Link field values from the sub tasks?

 

when i create the sub task manually , subtask were only attached to stories and epic link field is blank.

Hi,

In your CSV file the link between an Epic and sub-task is pointing the wrong direction-- and when it is imported into JIRA the interpretation is that the sub-task is "parent issue."  Keep a reference so you know which issue keys are involved.

Assuming this is server instance: To correct, if you are not the Administrator, coordinate with the Jira instance Administrator:

1) Review the links settings between issues noting which are inner and outer links.

2) look at for the description that was incorrect in your CSV--here is reference link: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/configuring-issue-linking-938847862.html

3) do a bulk update correctly linking Epic as parent to sub-task

4) do a bulk update removing the linking the sub-task to the Epic in the "parent" role.

In this way you maintain the linkage and correct the relationship
