Restart activity details not appearing in the atlassian-jira log file and access_log.2014-05-12

Question

HI Expert,

Yesterday(12/05/14) I have restarted the Jira but I didn't find restart activity in in the atlassian-jira log file and access_log.2014-05-12.

Could you please tell why restart activity details are not available in both log files?

Right.  How did you check it had stopped after steps 3 and 4?

I have restarted the Jira using the following way-

* Go to Services (Start -> Administrative Tools -> Services)
* Choose Attlassian JIRA service
* Press Stop link; Once it is stopped make actions needed and next press Start link.
* If the Service does not stop normally, open Windows Task manager and just kill tomcat7.exe process - > refresh services list and start Atlassian JIRA service from services console

How did you do the restart?  Did you check that it really had stopped and started?
