Hello Community, I want to use a jqlSearch to find issues and then send emails to the appropriate assignees. But somehow jira removed the SearchResults(List ) function. When I use different codes I receive a list of the issues matching my JQL Searchterm, but how can I proceed and get the assignee of each issue in order to send them a mail?

I fell like I am having all my answers but still cant use them :D

So that for every issue in that list a email is send to the assignee, right? BTW I found out that I can also write like: // Perform the query to get the issues def results = searchService.search(user, parseResult.query, PagerFilter.unlimitedFilter) def issues = results.results issues.each { log.info(it.getAssignee()) } Then Jira returns the appropriate Assignees in the log.

Do you have the Jira Automation app install on your instance? If yes, this would be easy by using the lookupissue component.

If you don't have this, then the best way would be to create a subscription filter, adding as well on the JQL the assignee = currentuser() and share it with all the users. I would disable the option "send even if no issues are returned". With this way only the assignees would receive an email with all their issues (but you would be able to add any additional text to that email).

Hi @Alex Koxaras -Relational- I forgot to mention that I use ScriptRunner for this. In fact I want to create a scheduled job, where at a certain time, this JQLSearch is used to lookup issues and then send emails to their appropriate assignees. Do you know how that would work?

Unfortunately I have little experience with scriptrunner and I don't have it installed on my instance. Perhaps another member of the community might be able to help you with that. Did you search on adaptivist website for already built scripts? They might have something!

Thanks for your support anyway. Yes I tried and when I excecute the scripte I receive a list of issues. but I cant adress specific fields of these issues like assignee. I think I need to iterate over the list but I dont know how I do that in groovy.
