Confluence set up error JDBC

Question

Hello,

This is my first time trying to install Confluence. I apologise if I seem very newbie!

I have installed MySql and tried to install the JDBC driver as required, however when I select external Database it gives me the error 'Could not find driver with class name: com.mysql.jdbc.Driver'.

I have copied the .jar to the Confluence path '/opt/atlassian/confluence/confluence/WEB-INF/lib' & also ran the command 'export CLASSPATH=/opt/atlassian/confluence/confluence/WEB-INF/lib/mysql-connector-java-5.1.28-bin.jar:$CLASSPATH'

My server is CentOS 6 FYI
