How to migrate pluginsettings to ActiveObjects tables

1. We have some data in pluginsettings and now we are trying to migrate and use the Active Objects. The question is how do we migrate the existing pluginsettings data to active objects tables?
2. Also can we two plugins share the same plugin settings data?

1. You will need to write some code that reads the plugin settings out and inserts it into Active Objects tables when it gets called during install (Jira asks apps to run upgrade code when they are replaced by newer versions.  It's fine to return a "nothing needed doing", but it's the right place to run such a conversion task)
