Application links throwing ssl error after upgrade from 6.13.0 to 7.13.0

Question

Conference and jira are running as docker containers with nginx-proxy.

After the confluence upgrade from 6.13.0 to 7.13.0, the application link in confluence linked to jira is throwing network error, the description of which shows ssl certificate is self signed. The ssl certificate is valid and used to work fine on 6.13.0 version.

Thanks for confirming Vysakh. Do you have the old ssl certificate with you, if you configure that what's the result ? and what's the result if you create and configure a new certificate ?

I have tried this. But still confluence is throwing ssl error in application links, though I have added my certs to the keystore.

Hi @Vysakh S Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

If your application links have stopped working after a recent upgrade it's possible that your customizations to the application's server.xml file were overwritten. Custom changes can include reverse proxy configuration and HTTPS configuration. You should check that the upgraded server.xml file matches the pre-upgrade server.xml. Please also refer this KB article to see if you are seeing similar errors in atlassian-jira.log
