permission to create a project

Calogero Bonasi

I must allow my collaborator to create a new project on jira, but I will not give him permission to administrator (all) jira. can I assign a specific profile in some way to allow a user to create projects without being allowed instead to modify users or configurations jira?

Take a look at our addon https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.wittified.jira.project-creator it allows for project creation by non-admins.

I'm afraid you can't, you must be administrator in order to create a project.

thanks for the tip. a question. I have a setup jira server with 2000 users. But the people who have to create projects are only 10. I have to buy a license for 10 users or license for 2000 users?

Udo Brand

You always need the same license for a plugin as your Jira license is (in that case 2000 users).

I just tried the same link as I was looking for the same capability but it appears they don't have a cloud option.
