Has anyone successfully been able to pull avatars down from AD (using Exchagne server for email) to Confluence and JIRA ?

Fringe Technology

I have a site that is using Confluence and JIRA. Confluence is looking at JIRA for its user base.

JIRA user directory is configured for AD (read only, with local groups). We would like to be able to pull down the images that MS Outlook has stored, and use those images in Confluence and JIRA as the user avatars. Would appreciate any advice or comments on whether anyone has been able to do this, and if so, how. Thanks!

I'd be interested in the answer too. This relates to my question:
