We have the following setup with two plans:
- Our internal roadmap, where issues are assigned to a shared team per development team and the plan is grouped along these teams (such as 'dev-team-a').
- Another plan for a collaborative project with an external partner, where issues are assigned to a private team for each company (such as 'company' and 'ext-partner')
We would however like to include the issues from the collaborative project into our internal roadmap since they consume developers' capacity (which works), and internally use a different team (i.e. 'dev-team-a' instead of 'company'), which does not work. The private team from the collaboration plan is committed to Jira and appears as group in our internal roadmap.
I understood private teams as only existing inside a plan as suggested here: "Private teams only exist within your plan so you can explore what-if scenarios and see how changes to your teams will affect your plan."
Is there a way to have a team assignment that only lives inside a plan and overrides values that might exist externally? Do you have another proposal how to achieve two different teams in two different plans for the same issue?
