How to not go back at the top of page every time I start editing a page ...

Question

Every time I want to edit one page, the view goes back to the top of the page instead of keeping the current one. How can we configure confluence to stay at current location ?

The same behavior happens in edit mode while I create a new feature (title, table, ...) or when I edit text properties (change color, ...). Actually, every 5 seconds I must scroll back to the bottom of the page...

This issue is honestly becoming unbearable. I really don’t understand how something that has been reported since at least 2021 is still not fixed today.

Having the page constantly scroll back to the top when editing or saving is a massive waste of time. Every time, I have to scroll back to where I was working, which completely breaks the flow.

This has been frustrating users for years now. Is there a way to finally fix this once and for all, or at least make this behavior configurable?

I know this is an old thread, but I find still today that both the Edit button and "e" shortcut scroll to the top of the page every time I use them.

Similarly, saving work with the Update button also scrolls to the top.

* Is there a way to prevent this scrolling behavior?
* If not, is there some feedback mechanism (e.g. upvote user suggestion) to which I can contribute to help prioritize fixing this regression?

For reference, I'm using hosted Confluence (e.g. <my_company>.atlassian.net) in Microsoft Edge on Windows 10.

This shortcut does not work anymore. It will go back the beginning of the page unfortunately.
