Using LDAP and IT changed group names, how to update Confluence

We use LDAP for user authentication and also for group access to various spaces.  When the group names change in LDAP, Confluence sees the new group name but the spaces and pages are still set to the old name.  How do we find all the old names so we can get them changed to the new name?

renaming groups are not supported in Confluence and JIRA.

To search for the group usage look at the database or database backup:

• spacepermissions for space restrictions
• content_perm for page restictions
• cwd_membership and cwd_group for the user / group memberships
• ao_950dc3_tc_subcals_priv_grp if you use Team Calendar

I think that are the relevant tables. 

I suggest you to manage your groups in Confluence if you can't control changes within the LDAP server.
