I have encrypted the password for JIRA configdb.xml and was wondering if you should also do this for confluence? (as the documentation only refers to JIRA).

With kind regards,

Currently Confluence does not have anything like this in place. There is a feature request here that you can vote on https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-2146?error=login_required&error_description=Login+required&state=aa672ea8-8c36-47b7-9ca8-9bd9c5e2ab8a
