Hi Team,
Using Jira 8.5 server version . Is there any way to automate the garbage collector option, like triggering a certain participants an email kind of notification ? or if any other workaround would help me
Hello @Naveen kumar
Your VM should take care of garbage collection.
The person who manages your VM should tune this(the person who installed the JIRA in the first place) this is not an ordinary Jira Admin job.
Okay start with this

And then move on to this

ok thank you for the reply. ill check those links. Is there any way that we can enable a pop up in jira when the garbage collector meets a certain threshold ?
You would need to do some coding to add functions like that to Jira.
Generally though, most users shouldn't care about GC and in most cases, you should be letting the JVM handle it.
There are a couple of good reasons you might want to request the JVM does GC, but why would you want to "automate" it?
my team wants to automate it as an additional work . so im checking all the possibilities of automating it and also im new to jira . so help me out please
