Why does !~ work on the Acceptance Criteria field

Question

Trying to query JIRA using JQL to check for key works in the Story Acceptance Criteria.

For Some reason, this does not work. Any idea why ?

Any insight would be appreciated

project = TCLETA AND issuetype  = Story  and("Acceptance Criteria" !~ "Given:" or "Acceptance Criteria" !~ "When:" OR "Acceptance Criteria" !~ "Then:" )

Hi @Michael Davidson . What do you mean by "does not work"? Is any error displayed? Or expected results are not displayed?

Is the field Acceptance Criteria set to use the "Free Text Searcher" search template? You can check that by going to the custom field and click Edit details.
