How to reference common table on all page and is editable

preeti arun

Hello Experts,

We would like to add the common table to all of our pages and it should be editable (for updating relevant info) on every page.

Use case.

We would like to add a table having below rows/format to each page and the respective page owner should add /update the details. We have created the below table as a master table and would like to put it on all of our pages and it should be editable. Is this use case possible

Table

Col 1 Owner

Col 2 Update Frequency

Hi @preeti arun ,

I can suggest using the Table Filter and Charts for Confluence app.

The first step is to create your big master table with all the required information. This table will be editable and every owner will update his/her name, frequency, page titles, etc.

The second step is to reuse this master table onto other pages your want. It can be done with the help of the Table Excerpt/Table Excerpt Include macros.

The third step is to show not the whole master table onto your other pages, but to get only relevant row(s). For this purpose you'll need to wrap your Table Excerpt Include macro into the Table Filter macro and filter the master table (by owner, page title or whatever field you need). So, you'll get different mini tables onto your pages.

Every time the master table is updated, all the changes are automatically reflected into the reused tables.

Hope this may help your case.
