There are more applications available on marketplace but that depends on whether you are suing Jira Cloud or Server/DC.

The plugin not only visualizes Jira data but also helps to plan, manage and track the projects. So please have a look at the list of main functionalities in a nutshell.

Adjustable WBS - In BigGantt, you can automatically create a no-limited number of WBS levels. Task Structure can be created based on both build-in task attributes (e.g., Epic link, Component, Version, Sprint) as well as links.
Automatically scheduled tasks based on sub-box duration or tasks dependencies
Tracking the overall projects and their iterations/phases thanks to data aggregated on the parent box level
Explore and compare various plans, schedule alternatives based on changing conditions, and find the best solution.

Have you considered Advanced Roadmaps at all? It's now part of Data Center (for on premise) and included with Jira Premium (on Cloud) - see https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/guides/roadmaps/advanced-roadmaps.

Although we don't really consider it to be Gantt per se, it does offer what people ofter what many consider to be a Gantt style roadmap.

I don´t know what specific actions are going to be done with the Gantt plugin, I was just asked by a project manager to evaluate the integration of a Gantt-chart in JIRA. So I think that the area of operation isn´t that big.

Is something like this possible on Server as well?

Up until recently it was available as a market place application for Server and Data Center but things have been changed recently so that it is now included with Data Center and is no longer available as a separate application for Server unfortunately.
