Chart for showing trend between two values

Question

Is there a way to create a chart on a Jira dashboard that shows trends between two custom queries?

I am using the rich filters plugin to show numbers for these queries, but I want to put them both on a chart and show how one is always higher than the other without putting those numbers into Google Sheets (which I'm doing now).

There is a canned gadget for open v resolved, but nothing I can see where I can pick two vales of my own.

I wonder if this is what the time series in rich filters is for - an area I haven't found a use for yet.

I did some troubleshooting with a colleague and we didn't find a solution. I did create a time series in rich filters to try and do the chart, but the problem is that the time series in rich filters asks for a date field to use. I'm using the date a status changed in my queries, so the report doesn't show the right thing. One query i want to use is: project = PROJ1 AND status changed from "Product Docs" to Verified during (2020-01-01, 2020-12-31) OR project = PROJ2 AND (status changed from "QA in Progress" to Verified during (2020-01-01, 2020-12-31) OR status changed from "Ready for QA" to Verified during (2020-01-01, 2020-12-31) ) AND resolution != "Duplicate Issue" I want to compare it to : project = PROJ1 AND ("Product Docs (PD)" not in ("Not Required") OR "Product Docs (PD)" is EMPTY) AND createdDate >= 2020-01-01 AND createdDate < 2021-01-01 AND issuetype not in (Epic, Tracker) OR project = PROJ2 AND component = documentation AND createdDate >= 2020-01-01 AND createdDate < 2021-01-01 AND issuetype not in (Epic, Tracker) Other ideas?
