when os is centos7.0 ,how to upgrade from jira 8.2.2 to jira 8.15？

Question

when db is mysql5.6 ,os is centos7.0 .how to upgrade from jira 8.2.2 to jira 8.15？

Pavel Junek · Answer

For the Jira upgrade, it doesn't matter if you have Core or Software, the procedure is the same.

Upgrading DB to version 8.0 will probably not be a problem, but I do not know your company policy whether it is possible.

it is not  jira software. I want to install jira core 8.15。Do I have to upgrade the DB to a newer version - MySQL 5.7 or 8.0 ？

Pavel Junek · Answer

Hi @周慧华,

Atlassian has prepared instructions for upgrading Jira - please see Upgrading Jira applications

Next, check out these helpful links:

* Jira Supported platforms (The manual for Linux applies to Cetos, you will have to upgrade the DB to a newer version - MySQL 5.7 or 8.0.)
* Jira Software release notes (release and upgrade notes - let you know what changes have occurred between versions)
