How can I group user stories on a scrum board by assignee?

Question

I would like Jira scrum board (swimlane) to display all user stories assigned to a person grouped together. The intent then is that the daily standup can go faster as that each person can give an update on all their stories. Rather than going story by story, switching between people.

Thanks for that information, Karen.  With server version you should also be able to select the swimlanes by Assignee.  Here is some documentation on boards to help you do that:

I think it's Server because I cant see .atlassian.net in the URL. so is this not available if we are using Server?

I hear what you are saying wrt reduced WIP. The max that I am seeing is 3.

What version of Jira are you using: Cloud or Server?

And what type of project, Classic or Next-Gen?

* If you are using Cloud and Classic, you may configure Board Settings > Swimlanes > by Assignee
* If you are using Cloud and Next-Gen, you may select Group by > Assignee on the board

However... Please consider if your team members could instead work on fewer items at once (reduced work in progress: WIP), reducing any need to organize the board by assignee.
