Bulk clone Jira filters

For each new sprint I have 10-15 standard queries that I need to clone. (I don't edit the existing queries just to update for the new sprint # since I want to keep the prior sprint's queries for metrics).

Cloning the queries themselves is not a huge deal (I open the "old" one, change the sprint name, and so the "Save As" route) but the bigger PITA is going in and setting all of the permissions for the new queries. I have to wade through multiple screens that take a bit of time to complete.

Is there any better way to bulk clone queries just to update for a new sprint #?

Unfortunately, there does not seem to be any way to do this, as far as I can tell, and no plugin-based solutions either.

@Greg Bonawitz, I am doing the same every sprint, and I agree that it’s a pain to not be able to bulk copy filters.

However you can improve the process a little. When you copy a filter from the filters list, it copies it with all the permissions, so it’s a little easier that way.

First you copy the existing filter:

and when copy dialog pops up, you rename it right there.

Once new filter is created (with the same permissions as the previous one), you can open it, edit the query there and save.

This is still unfortunately one by one process, but at least you don’t have to set permissions every time for every filter.
