Put a comment using ScriptRunner Rest Endpoint

Hi Guys, 

 

Need one help, how i can put comment using Script Runner rest endpoint, i want to use to use it with Script Fragment Web item (button)...so that if some click on Reminder button, Comment automatically get added tagging Reporter in Comment. Please suggest..

Hi @Vikrant Yadav ,

You can try use the following script to append the comment with the reporter tagging in the comment, for example:

import com.atlassian.jira.component.ComponentAccessor

def commentManager = ComponentAccessor.getCommentManager()
def user = ComponentAccessor.getJiraAuthenticationContext().getLoggedInUser()

String reporter = issue.getReporter().getUsername()

commentManager.create(issue,user,"Hi [~reporter], add a new comment here",true)
