Is there any document about whether Developement of the Workflow Visualization Plugin is being done to make it compatible with Jira 6.1.7 ?

Did you try it? It's mostly superceded by what's in jira. It's not free anymore by the way, for the last release I requested a small amount be paid to a paediatric intensive care unit charity, to my knowledge no one has actually paid that.
