JQL for exclude a especific day updates

Hi,

I need a filter to show all tickets of a Project except a updates of specific day.

I try with this and not work...

project = ICS AND updatedDate != 2020-08-26

Any ideas?

I need exclude all tickets updated in this day:

Later, if query work, need to apply in SLA report with serie Average Time.

Well I can’t say I have ever done that but try this...

Project = ICS and updateddate < 2020-08-26 or updateddate >= 2020-08-27

you can adjust dates to meet your needs.

Actually that won’t work. As it doesn’t exclude 26th.
are you sure the != date isn’t working?

I tried this...

Project = wgo and updateddate != 2020-08-26

and got back about 300+ issues. I didn’t inspect the results to verify none had updates on that date.

using this query:

project = DEMO AND (updatedDate < 2021-01-10 OR updatedDate > 2021-01-11)

I was able to filter out January 10th 2021 - could you please double check if it works for you?

i didn't do the forensics on this. however, after i offered similar it struck me that it may not work. I guess it comes down to how "updateddate" translates. For example, if I update an issue on Jan/1, Jan/2, Jan/3 and I use this query....

project = DEMO AND (updatedDate < 2021-01-2 OR updatedDate > 2021-01-2)

does that issue show up? If it does then i'm unsure if it achieves the goal. In other words does this exclude all issues that were ever touched on Jan/2 regardless of being touched outside of the date.

Again, i haven't tested any of this. just wondering.

I tested a bit further - and should prepend the tests were on Jira Cloud I could repeat on Jira Server.

These queries work - which means they exclude the single date, here, December 7th 2020:

project = DEMO AND (updatedDate < 2020-12-07 OR updatedDate > 2020-12-08) ORDER BY updated DESC

project = DEMO AND (updatedDate < 2020-12-7 OR updatedDate > 2020-12-8) ORDER BY updated DESC

(the leading "0" did not make any difference)

but this does not work (=means: does not exclude December 7th 2020 but shows the full set):

project = DEMO AND (updatedDate < 2020-12-07 OR updatedDate > 2020-12-07) ORDER BY updated DESC

project = DEMO AND (updatedDate < 2020-12-7 OR updatedDate > 2020-12-7) ORDER BY updated DESC
