There is an article that describes how to disable several annoying notifications globally but it is applicable for Confluence <= 7.2 only.
https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/how-to-disable-notifications-for-attachments-action-862622270.html
I assume there is a new/different feature for versions above 7.2 but was not able to find something.
Anyone who can advice?
Thanks for your help.
@A_ Moje
Are you looking to disable them for yourself or for every user?
Best,
Fadoua
I'm looking to disable watching / notifications for every user. At least temporarily when updating a page including deletion of a large number of attachments and comments.
Check the following suggestions from Atlassian, see if they can help you achieve what you are looking for:

@Tinker Fadoua
Thanks you for your reply. Unfortunately the hints at above link are not valid for versions above 7.2
We are using version 7.4In this version you cannot disable the modules as mentioned in above suggestions.
Regards, Andreas
The problem is documented in JAC
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-33214
but its in hibernation since 2014.
Unfortunately the Bug does not state a workaround other than the one referred to above.
