Improve the way my page looks on different resolutions

Question

Hello there -

I have a team page that I built using my Thinkpad laptop. However, when it shows up on either different laptops or is viewed through external monitors it is completely different experience.

Any suggestions on how to improve this experience for different people in my company.  Attaching two experiences but seeing it on other screens - it is different on each one. Is there a way to set border width or something to improve the experience? Thanks for any guidance.

I followed as you described here. and manually set columns to pixel width. For middle section I did 100-300-100. However it still creates a lot of white space and still seems to be reactive to browser size. Looks great in half screen but creates a lot of white space in full screen. It seems to not stay at required pxl width. I would love if page maintained the pxl width I set and created the white space on the exterior. Thoughts? Thanks for any help!

Hi Dustin, welcome to the Community!

Based on how the page looks while being viewed, I believe you're using the Page Layout tools (the ones you access from the toolbar) to create the three columns. Columns created this way have a non-configurable width that's relative to the screen size of whoever is looking at it. However, the page layout is pretty straightforward what-you-see-is-what-you-get for column alignment in the editor.

Using the section and column macros as described here, you can set specific column widths in pixels. There's also an option to draw borders around a section if desired. I think using the section macro and column macros inside of it will get the sizing effect you're after. The downside of using this method is that the columns will appear on top of one another in the editor; it's only when viewing the published page that you'll see the rendered layout.
