Add Inline Comment feature is notifying watchers of a page - is there a way to prevent this?

Tara_1j1gk6

Hi everyone,

When we collaborate on a piece of work, using Inline Comment, all watchers of the Space are notified. We aren't editing the page, so can't uncheck the 'notify watchers' box. We want it to only notify the person tagged on the Inline Comment, not all watchers.

Is there a way to change this?

Thank you,

Tara

I believe having the users stop watching the space and only the pages the need updates to will fix this. Here is information about Confluence notifications: https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/email-notifications-145162.html
