DBCF kepler-rominfo search with select list or autocomplete

Hello to all,

My environment

* JIRA 6.4 bundled on linux
* Database Custom Field 3.0.5
* MySQL 5.1.73

Created database custom field "External Project" connected to database to feed JIRA forms. Creating and modifying issues works great: with Select List all allowed custom field values can be seen.

When trying to search issues in "JIRA > Issues > Search for Issues" after selecting custom field "External Project" no select list appears, no autocomplete works. Just simple text field is shown.

To find issue with proper value of custom field "External Project" I have to type exact value of that project and perform search. But there are more than 300 possible values in that field and our users cannot remember all names of projects.

Is there any way to show select list in JIRA search form for Kepler database custom field?

Hi Leos, I'm also using JJUPIN a plugin from kepler maker of DBCF. A very powerful plugin makes complex workflow simple to implement.

Hello Eric, your solution sounds interesting. Does it mean you fill one custom field with DBCF and then fill another custom field with value of the first one without admistrator intervention? What feature helps you to achieve that?

Hi Leos,

also noticed that limitation of DBCF, my workaround was used DBCF as dummy select list on create issue screen but transfer the value to a Jira_textfield once the issue is created. This way JIRA search would autocomplete when you search on the Jira_textfield
