How to increase viewable portion on "graphically design/change workflows " in JIRA

In the "graphically design/change workflows " section, the viewable portion is compressed considerably (instead of taking up the whole page) and there does not seem to be a way to expand it.
Is this something that can be tweaked behind the scenes so that we can see more of the flow without having to move the scroll bars constantly?

The graphical workflow designer has zoom in and zoom out buttons.    When I was designing my workflow I maximized my brower window and then used the zoom in and zoom out buttons to get items on the screen I wanted to see together.  I also turned off any browser addons that was taking away screen space.
