Symbols display incorrectly in the ScriptRunner custom field

Hello.

JIRA v8.5.7 and Script Runner v 6.10.0 plugin installed

An LDAP connection was added to the ScriptRunner resource.
Created a customfield Job Title that loads the Title field from AD. This field contains Cyrillic symbols. When loading data, the entire list has text ????????

If you select and confirm the selection, the data looks correct.

The plugin may not be able to work with Cyrillic symbols.
Do you have any other ideas?

Hi All,

Just wanted to forward to the solution here from Support.

It might have to do with JIRA UT-8 encoding.
Please kindly follow the steps here for troubleshooting

Please kindly try to Start JIRA with the parameters -Dfile.encoding=utf-8 and -Dsun.jnu.encoding=UTF-8 and see if the issue fix.
