I am unable to clone bitbucket repository on mac. Tried with terminal and sourcetree as well in both the case in terminal it gores to around 97% 1.00 GiB and then hangs indefinitely and in case of sourcetree it hangs without any logs.

Did you both tried https and ssh cloning?
Hi, yes tried both. but didnt work
So no one ever fixed the issue cause I'm having the same one I cannont clone on my Mac it keeps asking for a password but not letting me type in!
