Unable to login using Jira credentials

Question

I need my Jira credentials for  Jira Rest API Integration. Need to use either Basic authentication or cookie based authentication. (As for Oauth I am unable to open jira settings)

I am only able to login via sso login. But when I try to login using username and password then I am not able to login. Can someone please help me

You must be an admin to install the Kantega SSO app from Atlassian Marketplace, but when it is configured admins can allow regular users to create their own API tokens.

How to check which app is used for SSO login on the system? According to this link  API token authentication I cannot see "Manage API tokens" option. May be this is because I am not an admin user.

I can only see 6 options- Profile, Subtask Templates, Dashboard, Boards, Issue Navigator and Log Out

I am able to login now

Hi Shilpi.

Jira cloud uses URLs containing .atlassian.net (or .jira.com for older installations), so by the looks of it, you are using on-premise.

Do you know which app you are using for SSO on your system? With Kantega SSO you get both federated SSO and API token authentication. With this, you can authenticate your API request without revealing your user credentials or expose SSO passwords.
