JQL to display sub-tasks associated with their parent Story or Task

Hey Atlassian Community -

I am looking for a jql that filters and displays a parent issue along with the subtasks associated with it that have not moved statuses in 14 days.

Example:

JQL 1: Story A that has sub-tasks A, B, C and story A and sub-task B haven't moved in 20 days.

JQL 2; Task A that has sub-tasks A, B, C and sub-task C hasn't moved in 15 days.

I am not looking for specific issuekeys, I am looking to utilize this filter for a dashboard to call out items that have gone stale and raise these management for support.

I've been tinkering with several filters with no luck. FYI: Using Jira v8.5.3 and I am unable to add plugins

Any guidance is greatly appreciated!

Thanks again Muhammad! That's what i figured the issue was, but wasn't sure if there was another query i could use to specifically call the subtasks assocaited with stories and then another query to call subtasks associated with tasks... i dont necessarily need to pull the parent task or story.

We are purposing stories and tasks for 2 different objectives hence this request.

We are just trying to have 2 dashboard queries that has

* all stories and all subtasks associated with stories (no need to pull parent)
* all tasks and all subtasks assocaited with tasks (no need to pull tasks)

But as you mentioned..doesn't look like that is possible without a plugin :(  ... appreciate your support and guidance!

This query will not get sub tasks belongs to the required stories/tasks.

You are using only OR where you are getting stories and sub tasks without any link between them.

Why its pulling sub tasks for tasks, because you used

(issuetype = story OR issuetype=Sub-task)

It means get all stories or all sub tasks and that sub tasks can be linked with any issue type like Tasks which you don't want.

Unfortunately, you need to use some plugin to get it

Thanks for the quick response Muhammad! Unfortunately, no plugins are allowed.

the lastest query i'm working with is:

project = UCI AND "POD Name" = "example" AND (issuetype = story OR issuetype=Sub-task) AND status != Backlog AND status != Closed AND (status changed to "In Progress" before -14d OR status changed to External before -14d OR status changed to "External Impeded" before -14d ) ORDER BY Rank ASC

however, this still pulls sub-tasks for Tasks and not just stories. any further suggestions?
