initialize fixVersions field for JIRA.Forms.createCreateIssueForm

I'd like to create a new/modified issue from an existing one, and thereby
initialize the fixVersions field in the dialog from the underlying issue.

Is there a way to provide some default values to the JIRA.Forms.createCreateIssueForm call?

Is my question too trivial, did I miss something? 

...or even worse: is this not supported by the QuickEditPlugin?
