How add users to specific JIRA group using mysql?

Hi,

we are running JIRA 6.2 with MySQL database on our Linux server.

Since the existing AD integration in 6.2 is not complete, we are using separate table and some plugins in order to retrieve more information about users.

I'm about to automate inserting new users in that separate informational table.

And I would like also to automate adding new users directly in one of the JIRA groups that gives opportunity to receive mails from JIRA.

So my question is:

How to insert users from AD to specific JIRA group using MySQL?

I think the group membership is in table: jiradb.cwd_membership

OK,

I will not import users directly to DB.

For an hour I'm tryin to use CLI but it keeps giving me some errors:

Error: Unexpected argument: addUserToGroup
Error: Parameter 'action' is required.

Client error: 1 actions failed from file: C:\TEST\atlassian-cli-3.1.0	est.csv

I'm using the following command:

java -jar "%dirPath%"/lib/jira-cli-3.1.0.jar --server http://serveraddress --user myadminusername --password mypasword --action runFromCsv --file test.csv --common "--action addUserToGroup --group "groupname" "\

Where ofcourse serveraddress is the server IP with the port, user and password are both correct, and groupname is the right one too.

If I manage to run successfully this commands I will try to run them under linux and create cronjob for regularly adding users to group.

visit the Jira Server API page, for your version in order to use API to add users to group. using cURL is maybe the easiest way to go about this.
