Default value of custom field vanishes

Hi team,

 

In my JIRA instance, i have a field which is generated from JIRA Tooklit plugin. In that i use link of a page as default value of the field.

 

But every time i need to enter the HTML link and text manually, it disappears from default value section after some time. Not sure why?
