Are alerts ever archived or deleted automatically?

Question

I can currently find all the alerts ever raised in any of my Opsgenie accounts. Assuming that the service and my accounts remain active, will this always be true? Or will sufficiently-old alerts eventually become un-findable?

Should I start planning annual archiving of old alerts?

That's what I've been guessing too. It would be great to have it confirmed. Seems like a useful bit of info to add to the documentation. Helpful for those of us who have to deal with some level of compliance overhead.

I believe you should be able to find it, there isn't any limit as far as I can see because the time range can go as far back but it would be a good practice to always export the alert at yearly intervals and archive somewhere else.

I'm just thinking about "old" alerts, not about queries or states or the layout of query results. If I closed an alert 5 years ago, could I still find it? What if it was closed 15 years ago? 100 years ago?

I know it's purely theoretical: I'm writing the runbooks for managing our incident history, and I want to know if I need to include a process to export the alerts at regular intervals. I know I'll have to do it before Opsgenie reaches end-of-life, but if that was the only time I had to do it, it would make my runbooks smaller :)
