Hello. Is it possible to assign a start and end date for the tasks?

Hello. Is it possible to assign a start and end date for the tasks? I would like to assign tasks to different people for different weeks of the year and would like to monitor that assignment in the calendars? Is it possible to block dates on the calendar or define a start and end date?
