priority scheme missing

I am new to JIRA administration. I cannot see "priority schemes" under "administration/issues".

Three main causes:

You're using Jira Cloud, not server. Cloud doesn't have priority schemes
Your Server version is too old. From memory, they arrived in Jira 7.6 (definitely somewhere between 7.5 and 7.9)
Someone upgraded your Jira from 6.something to Jira 7.1 or above in the past, without going through 7.0

How do I know if it's Cloud, not Server? And if it Cloud, how to add a prority to a task then? I have "Priorities", but no "Priority Schemes"

We can tell it is Cloud because the poster does not have "priority schemes" under administration.

Cloud only has one "scheme", every project has to have the same list of priorities, which is defined under the "priorities" you have mentioned.
