Unable to resolve class

I write Script Field and want to use libraries to parse excel files, but when I import it I have Unable to resolve class all imported classes.

I use IntellijIdea plugin to write scripts and there I added all dependencies, but I suppose maven add it to my local host not on server where jira is. How to solve this?

Hi @aas ,

You can try to use Grapes Dependency Management to include the library you need, it worked in my local environment but I'm not sure if is there any downside of using this method.

Also, you can include the .jar into $JIRA_INSTALLATION/lib folder and restart the application, this will make the library available for you, you will need to remember to keep these files through upgrade process because because this the lib folder is overwritten after the upgrade with the new version dependencies of the product.

Thanks @Italo Qualisoni [e-Core] I've tried to add jars into WEB-INF/lib directory and restart jira, but have that problem

And when I use @Grapes I have the same

Actualy i found that problem is in importing XSSFSheet and XSSFWorkbook classes. When I comment import of that classes I have no Failed Type Checking, but I have Unresolved class( May be I've added wrong jar into lib directory? (poi-3.17.jar and poi-ooxml-3.17.jar)

In my test I haven't added the library under lib folder,

Try to do the following:

Stop JIRA
Remove the libraries you included in WEB-INF/lib
start JIRA
Clear the groovy class loader caches (you will find this option under Built-in Scripts Clear Groovy classloader or Jira internal caches)
And then test below code in your Script Console

I've tried do everything like you said, but have the same problem Failed type checking.

In logs I've found Type checking error: java.lang.RuntimeException: Error grabbing Grapes -- [unresolved dependency: org.apache.poi#poi;3.17: not found]

I found on stackoverflow that It looks like Grape settings are set only to look in my local .m2 directory for the library. I need to check grapeConfig.xml configuration file but I don't have that file, so I need to create but how and where?
