IFTTT macro to send emails when the due date is reached

Question

I have a due date column in a confiform table. I need to send an email notification 30 days prior to the due date. IFTTT macro is triggered on modification or error or creation. But I want this email notification to be triggered irrespective of any event, when the date is reached.

Please let me know how I can achieve it, should I use REST APIs to achieve this?

IFTTT macro reacts only on events happening with form's data.

You need to trigger such event from outside (can be an update to ConfiForms via ConfiForms REST APIs) that will trigger a ConfiForms IFTTT to execute and send emails

There is no background process in ConfiForms app that can do it for you.
