Confluence stopped listening on web port

Hi I installed confluence 7.5.0 on a CentOS x64 server and run it for about 20 days without issues.

Now confluence is no more responding.

Tomcat is still running but it is no more listening on the configured port (also according to nmap).

The only action that I recently performed was to install the goEdit addon: in order to troubleshoot the issue I'd like to disable/remove the goEdit plugin: how can I do it without the web interface? Which file is concerned in confluence plug-in configuration?

Any other ideas with respect to this issue?

I would start by reading the application log to see what errors may be in there, and then check the tomcat log too.
