Project manager can not move their sprint up

Wang_KK

Our project manager can not move their project sprint up.But in project permissions, project manager has the ability to manage sprints.

The error is "To update this sprint, you must have the Manage Sprints permission for all of the following projects: Droplet, 10207."

So i do not know what should i do.

I wonder what 10207 means？

I didn't see that other people said that the prompt permission was not enough.

Hi there .. the board is including more than 1 project. This means that in order to manage the sprint the relevant person must have sprint manager permissions on all the relevant projects.

Check out the persons project roles:

1. jira administration > user management

2. Find the person and click the ... on the right hand side and select "View project roles" and then you can select "Edit project roles" to set the details.

3. If not all projects are present then the user will need adding to the project.

Hope this helps

He is the project's Administrators and Project Manager ,and in this project permissions,Project Manager can manage Sprints.

So i think he can move the sprint up.Before that, he was able to move sprint.

How to solve it now ？

The error message that you've quoted infers that there is more than 1 project feeding the backlog. Therefore the person must be able to sprint manage on all the other projects and not just the one you're dealing with.

The alternative is to create board that is unique to that 1 project that the person is the PM and administrator for.

Thank you. I see what you mean. If only we could find out which issue caused the problem..

Hi @Wang_KK .. it should be fairly easy to do but time consuming .. time for some detective work .. by:

Check the filter that is being used for the specific board that you're dealing with - this will give you the scope of the projects to check.

If only a handful then you can check manually or Check the specific user's project roles through the User Management facility

@Wang_KK were you able to figure this out? I am facing the exact same issue.
