restoring deleted HOME directory from complete database dump

Jira version: Jira Server 6.3.15

Hi all,

I had a hard disk failure and, as a result, I lost the Jira Home directory. I have a complete dump of the mysql database and I could be able to restore the structure of the directory, but when I was able of starting the server again, some things are different. The login seems to work, and the projects seems to exist, but there are no issues at all. Also, some direct accesses are not there: last projects used, that used to appear in the projects tab, last issues used, that used to be in the issues tab, and so.

Is there any way of rebuilding a functional home directory using just the database dump? (I don't have the export directory neither)

One of the important things in the home directory is the index.  If you lose that, searches, reports and most of the rest of Jira will fail to find anything.  It'll all work when you create, edit or use the plain issue view, but anything that requires a lookup of most sorts will fail.

TLDR: run a full locking re-index
