JQL Date Range Calculation is not showing any results

Hey Community,

 

since a while ago we are facing a JQL bug within our self hosted Jira ServiceDesk instance.

 

Queries like:

createdDate <= now() and createdDate >= startOfMonth()

are freezing after a while and don't show up any results.

The following error is shown within the Firefox Console:

 

Queries like

createdDate >= startOfMonth() and assignee = currentUser()

 

are still working.

It seems that the issue is only appearing if I try to compare a value between multiple time (date) fields.

 

What I tried to fix this issue:

- several full re-indexes

- integrity check (Result: all fine)

- checking atlassian-jira HTTP / SQL Log for any strange behaviour

 

Additional information:

The system is running on Jira core 8.5.4 + Jira ServiceDesk 4.5.4

Hi Chris,

welcome to the Community!

While I am not able to come up with a direct solution my idea would be to do two tests, one for another.

1. try to put Jira to safe-mode for a short test - this will show quickly if an App is source of the error
2. test with a different browser - this rules out a local problem with the browser on the device you are using

Let us know how the results are. Maybe someone is able to catch up then.
